Admissions Representative
Northern Arizona University

September 2014- August 2017

An NAU Admissions representative poses as one of the first representatives that potential students mean within the application process. They guide students and families for campus tours and act as the first line of recruitment based questions. They are expected to work collaboratively to create an inviting and open environment for staff and students. Seasonally they work to host new student orientations and aid students in the acclimation of campus resources.

Marissa professionally aspires to become a director within student affairs. Her ideal path would require them to move into a higher leadership position and explore different fields within student affairs to best understand the culminating experience of student life. Marissa is open to seeking roles outside of admissions and recruitment to grasp a new perspective on leadership roles in higher education. These interests include deeper examination into admissions, new student programs, student life, and academic services. By gaining knowledge of these areas, it would best help to round her expertise to advise overarching policy and execution.
